150g chopped camembert (rind removed where possible)
100ml white wine
1 tsp corn flour (made into a slight paste)
Half clove garlic
Twist of pepper
Pinch of nutmeg
To serve: cubes of bread (slightly stale works well); carrot sticks; sliced ham; cheese straws; crisps / crackers etc.
Method
Put the fondue pot on the hob with the wine and heat until boiling. Allow to reduce a little then add the cheese and stir until melted. Add the garlic too.
Turn down to a simmer. Add the cornflour paste, pepper and nutmeg. Once thickened, place the fondue pot over a flame at the table.
Serve with cubed bread, crudites etc. for dipping.
