Classic Fairy Cakes

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces butter
  • 8 ounces caster sugar
  • 8 ounces self-raising flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon warm water
  • Optional: chocolate chips, fudge chunks
  • Betty Crocker icing
  • Sprinkles etc.

Method

  1. Cream together the butter and sugar. Add the vanilla extract and cream well. Taste.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well.
  3. Stir in the flour and add 1 tablespoon of water.
  4. Add chocolate chips / fudge chunks if using.
  5. Bake at 180c for 20-25 mins until a toothpick comes out clean.
