Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 250g carrots, finely chopped
- 500g lean beef mince
- 100ml red wine
- 1x 400g tin chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
-
50ml milk
-
200g GF spaghetti
Method
- In a large saucepan, heat some olive oil and add the onions and carrots. Fry on a medium het for 5 minutes until starting to soften.
- Add the mince and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until it starts to brown and breaks up.
- Turn up the heat and add the red wine. Cook to reduce for 2-3 minutes then add the tomatoes, tomoato puree, worcestershire suace, and milk.
- Simmer for 20-30 minutes. The longer you cook it, the better it will get. Put a pan of water on the hob to boil for the spaghetti and cook according to pack instructions near the end of the cooking time for the sauce.
- Taste and season the sauce with salt and pepper. Drain the pasta and add half the sauce; toss together and serve.
- Keep the second half of the pasta sauce either for another dinner or to make lasagne etc.
