Grilled Cheesy Gnocchi

Updated: 09 May 2015

Ingredients

  • 1 broccoli
  • 1 cauliflower
  • 350g Morrisons Kitchen Italian cheese sauce
  • 500g gnocchi
  • 60g parma ham
  • 100g spinach
  • Parmesan / cheddar

Method

  1. Preheat the grill to about 220C. Bring a saucepan of water to the boil.
  2. Boil the broccoli and cauliflower for 3 minutes. Meanwhile tear up the parma ham and grate the cheese in preparation.
  3. Add the gnocchi to the pan and cook for a further three minutes. Microwave the sauce for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Drain the gnocchi and vegetables. Return the pan to the heat and add a few handfuls of spinach, the parma ham, then the sauce. Stir through to finish heating the sauce and wilt the spinach.
  5. Pour into an ovenproof dish (red lasagne dish). Top with the grated cheese and grill for 5-10 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let sit on the countertop for a few minutes before attempting to serve.

N.B makes 2 very large or 3 reasonable portions.

Alternative Instead of the gnocchi, use 150g of pasta; omit the parma ham and serve with freshly grated parmesan rather than a melted cheese topping.
