Ham and Kale Soup

Ingredients
- 1 large onion
- Garlic oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1.5 litres chicken stock (2 cubes)
- 1 tin chick peas
- 200g shredded Wiltshire ham
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 100g pasta
- 150g kale
- Parmesan, to serve
Method
- Heat saucepan with garlic oil. Chop onion (chunky is nice) and sauté for about 10 minutes. Finely chop and add the garlic while the onion cooks.
- Prepare and add 1.5 litres chicken stock made with two chicken stock cubes. Add a tin of chopped tomatoes, a tin of chickpeas (or other beans) and the ham, finely shredded. Cook for about an hour on low.
- About half an hour before serving, add the pasta and kale. Stir will.
- Serve with fresh parmesan shavings.
