Pork Chops with Onions

Ingredients

  • Pork Loin steaks
  • 4-5 large onions
  • 3 tablespoons marmite
  • Salt and pepper
  • At least 3 potatoes per person
  • Petit pois or green veg to serve

Method

  1. Cover the bottom of a large glass dish with chopped onions in an even layer. Peel and chop the potatoes and place on top. Place the pork chops on top of the potatoes.
  2. Boil about 2.5 pints of water and mix in the marmite. Pour over the pork, but leave about a ¼ of a pint in reserve to top up later if necessary. The meat should be covered and the dish full.
  3. Cook in the oven for about an hour and ten minutes. Turn the meat over halfway through cooking and add the reserved water if needed.
